    • NESAFE organized awareness camps in Baksha District and Ramdiya Village, Nalbari District.

Marketing of Organically
Produced Vegetables

    • NESAFE facilitated the marketing of organically produced vegetables in various residential areas including Oil India Colony, Zoo Road, and VIP Road in Guwahati.
    • Impacts: Increased accessibility to healthy, pesticide-free produce, supported local farming communities, raised awareness about organic agriculture, and promoted sustainable consumption habits among consumers.

Construction of "Krishokor Bazar" Farmers Market

      • NESAFE established a dedicated farmers market in the Guwahati Club area exclusively for organically produced fruits and vegetables.
      • Impacts: Provided a centralized platform for farmers to showcase and sell their products, attracted health-conscious consumers, and fostered economic growth through direct marketing.

Facilitation of Grassroot Level Farmers' Participation

    • NESAFE facilitated the participation of various grassroot level farmers’ groups from Kamrup Rural, Dhemaji, Baksha, and Goalpara districts in “Krishokor Bazar.”
    • Impacts: Enhanced market access and exposure for farmers, promoted their products, empowered them economically, and encouraged the adoption of sustainable farming practices.

Initiative during COVID-19 Phase 2

    • NESAFE built a lunch-only eatery targeting office goers and students, sourcing organically produced vegetables directly from farmers.
    • Impacts: Provided healthy meal options, supported local agriculture during the pandemic, and created a symbiotic relationship between farmers and workers, fostering resilience and sustainability.
